750 volunteers to produce 170,000 life-saving meals
[11/08/17—In two weeks, hundreds of West Suburban community members will work to feed thousands of starving children in the developing world. Through a partnership between Jack & Cindy Reidy and Twin Cities-based Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), volunteers will prepare 170,000 life-saving meals at an FMSC MobilePackTM event. This is the 6th Annual MobilePack named “Giving Thanks for Thanksgiving” which will take place 11/22/17 at Hobson Road Community Church, 2531 Hobson Rd, Downers Grove.
Last year, the Charitable event packed 171,000 meals which exceeded the goal and all these meals were sent to the Haiti. All together the volunteers who came to pack with us at HRCC packed enough food to feed 468 kids a meal a day for an entire year!
Packing sessions, each beginning with a 15-minute overview of FMSC’s work around the world, will take place at the following times:
9:00; 11:30; 2:30 and 5:00
All volunteer slots are full. However, community members can support this MobilePack by making a donation for food production costs. To donate, visit:
