Just a few short weeks ago, we put out a call for volunteers to help us with the daunting task of filling close to 7000 mum pots for Fall. Thanks to the support of our volunteers, families, and team members we managed to complete that task! Now that the mums have been planted and are growing in nicely, we need assistance once again in spacing these mums so they can continue to grow without getting in each other's way!
This is why we are organizing another volunteer event to assist us in getting all of our mums spaced next week! It was such a positive experience and fun time all around getting our team members working alongside our customers and supporters, so we're hoping to get a good turnout once again! If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity spending time outside this coming Wednesday, August 3 or Thursday August 4th from 9AM-12PM we would appreciate your help! All we ask is that you plan for the weather and try to wear sunscreen, a hat to protect your face, and good work shoes. We will have plenty of water to drink to keep hydrated and plenty of work to do! A lot of the work does require a lot of repetitive activities outside, so prepare yourself however you can!
