Remove oak flooring from a house that is scheduled to be torn down. The flooring will be resold at the ReStore to help fund DuPage Habitat projects. Also this beautiful flooring will not end up in a landfill, but will live again in someone's home.
Work entails prying up the floor, cutting off the nails that held it down, and stacking the flooring on pallets.
Many hands may light work. Volunteers are needed to move the flooring from one place to another as well as the above tasks. The work is medium to light in terms of physical activity.
Please wear shoes and clothing suitable for a construction site. Bring work gloves and hearing protection if you have them. If not, Habitat can provide.
